Doug Dolfman is a third-generation criminal defense attorney in Philadelphia, serving clients throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. After following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, who opened the firm in 1923, Doug has tried 1500+ bench trials and 225+ jury trials on behalf of his clients. Doug has been honored by the National Trial Lawyers Association as one of its Top 100 Trial Lawyers from 2014-2021 and he has achieved a Superb rating by the attorney rating website, Avvo.
Doug is certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as Lead Counsel in Death Penalty cases and also as Mitigation Counsel. In addition to trying cases in Federal and State courts throughout Pennsylvania, Doug has tried cases successfully in Federal and State Courts in New Jersey, Delaware, New York, and Maryland.
He is currently a guest lecturer at the Pennsylvania State University and has also taught courses with the Pennsylvania Bar Institute to other attorneys on the topic of gun laws in Pennsylvania. He is an active member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, as well as a member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia chapters of PACDL.
Doug received his Bachelors in Business Management from Penn State University, and his J.D. from the University of Akron in Ohio. Doug previously served on the Board of Directors for the University of Akron Law School.
